About My Work

Approach

My approach weaves together process-oriented modalities, parts work, and somatic practices to gently explore what arises in the present moment. I believe that at our core we are already whole and resilient, even when life’s challenges and past adaptations leave us feeling stuck or disconnected. Together, we’ll approach these patterns with care and curiosity, creating space for new possibilities, healing, and growth

Method

In my work, therapy is a process of meeting, accepting, and integrating all parts of ourselves—even when that journey feels uncomfortable or messy. Change can be daunting, and simply choosing to begin therapy is an act of courage. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that once served as protection but may no longer support your growth. While stepping away from these familiar ways of being can feel uncertain, it also opens the door to deeper self-understanding, resilience, and lasting transformation.

Therapeutic Modalities

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I primarily work from the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model, a gentle and powerful approach that helps us understand the different ‘parts’ of ourselves. IFS creates space for all of our inner experiences—whether protective, critical, or vulnerable—so they can be heard and understood with compassion. Through this process, clients often discover a stronger sense of self, greater inner harmony, and new pathways for healing and growth

EMDR

I also integrate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) when it feels like the right fit. EMDR is a highly effective approach for healing trauma, and together we move at a pace that feels safe and steady. A big part of this process is building strong inner resources and coping skills along the way, so you feel supported and grounded as you work through painful experiences.

Depth/Jungian Psychology

I hold the work we do together within the broader lens of depth and Jungian psychology. This perspective honors the deeper layers of the human experience, including the unconscious, dreams, symbols, and the stories that shape who we are. I believe that every challenge we face carries within it an invitation for growth and transformation. While moving through these challenges can often feel overwhelming or disorienting, guidance and support make it possible to navigate them with greater clarity and resilience. This depth-oriented backdrop allows us to approach your healing as a journey of meaning, self-discovery, and integration—helping you connect more fully with your authentic self.

Credentials

Professional Background

I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oregon State University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oregon.

My postgraduate training has focused on treating trauma. I have completed Level 1 training in the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model, Level 1 training in EMDR, and a variety of additional specialized trainings. Incorporating effective, evidence-based practices is central to my work, and I am committed to ongoing professional development through continuing education and advanced training.

Personal Background

My path as a therapist has been shaped by my own journey of self-discovery. I know what it’s like to face challenges that feel overwhelming, and I’ve also experienced the profound shifts that can come from leaning into the work rather than turning away. Through my own journey, I’ve walked through pain, uncertainty, and the discomfort of change—but I’ve also discovered resilience, growth, and a deeper connection to my authentic self.

These experiences continue to shape how I show up as a therapist: with empathy, authenticity, and trust in the process. I bring not only professional training but also lived understanding, which allows me to hold space with compassion while supporting others as they navigate their own journeys of transformation.

Expertise

IFS, EMDR, and somatic, experiential methods form the foundation of my holistic approach to trauma recovery and mental wellness. I also bring specialized experience in supporting individuals with complex trauma systems.

I work especially well with high-functioning and complex individuals who are seeking meaningful healing. Many of my clients come to me after feeling stuck in traditional talk therapy. With expertise in navigating the points where the healing process can stall, I help clients meet these challenges with both compassion and practical tools. Together, we find movement where they once felt blocked and open new pathways for growth, resilience, and lasting change.
